The Jenkins Family: Maine Family Portrait Photography

I photographed the Jenkins family the other day – we had a great time playing in the grass and making silly faces!  We dodged the rain and the kids had fun making their parents sing and throw them in the air!  Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Sarah and Craig: A Church Landing Wedding in Meredith, NH

Sarah and Craig met in college, but they remained good friends for years before they started dating.  They chose Church Landing in Meredith, NH, because Sarah once saw a wedding performed on the shores of the lake while she and Craig were driving their boat to a nearby restaurant.  The image stuck with her, and shortly after Craig proposed, they drove up to New Hampshire to take a look at the property.  Even though there was snow on the ground, they could still envision a lakeside, summer wedding.  They chose such a beautiful spot, and they had such a gorgeous, sunny day.  Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Cate and Saro: A Brooklyn Engagement

This may go down in history as my favorite engagement session ever!  I am photographing Cate and Saro’s destination wedding in Sayulita, Mexico, later this year, and they wanted a completely different backdrop for their engagement photographs.  So they brought me down to NYC, which is one of my favorite places.  I knew from emails traded with Cate that she and Saro were going to be fun.  But nothing prepared me for the vintage-themed, prop-wielding, colorful craziness of the engagement session.  Cate and Saro are a blast!  Not only did we traipse through funky urban neighborhoods, but we also went to the water to get some great views of Manhattan from Brooklyn, and Cate and Saro ended the session with a bubble gun battle followed by a water balloon fight!  It was an incredible evening and I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding later this year!  Here are a few of my faves from the day:
