This is the slideshow for Ashleigh and Jason, who were married at one of the prettiest venues on the Maine coast, the Retreat at French’s Point. We loved their positive attitude and had a lot of fun covering their happy day. Even the tempestuous Maine weather cleared enough for some terrific photos. See the slideshow here.

We photographed the wedding of Christine and Steve at the Nonantum on Saturday. This was a destination wedding for Christine and Steve, who came up to Maine from New Jersey. The weather didn’t disappoint- it was a beautiful day, with gorgeous clouds and a beautiful sunset! What a fun group- they were happy to climb on the oceanfront rocks to make a great bridal party shot! We love bridal parties that are willing to help us make extraordinary images! Here are a few of our favorites:

The incredible clouds at dusk. They were really purple! We jumped out of the reception and caught some beautiful sunset photos.

We photographed the wedding of Christine and Joe at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Mass. a few weeks ago. I wanted to wait to post this because they spent the interim on their honeymoon in Australia! They are finally home, so I wanted to post the slideshow here and some of my favorite photographs from their wedding:

I photographed the wedding of Ashleigh and Jason on Sunday at The Retreat at French’s Point in Maine. It was really beautiful- I was worried because the thunder started to boom as the bride walked down the aisle, but it held off until after we took some photos after the ceremony. When the weather cleared, the sun came out and it was just gorgeous! Here are some of my favorites:

Look at those clouds- that is rain and a lightning storm in the distance…

I love skies like these overhead:

Eric photographed the wedding of Erica and John last weekend at Sandy Island in New Hampshire as part of our Associate Shooter Coverage. For those of you who are long-time blog followers and remember our old blog, I photographed the wedding of Monika and Mark last fall at Sandy Island, which is a YMCA family camp. Since I was free, I agreed to join Eric on this wedding, so it was nice to return! And it was a gorgeous day- thunderstorms were predicted, but it remained beautiful all day! Here are a few of our favorites:

I photographed an engagement session for Lianne and Dan a few days ago- what a great couple! They will be having their wedding later this fall in Winthrop, Maine. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot:

We have been featured on a new Trash the Dress website. Trashing the Dress is something that has received a lot of press lately- from the New York Times to Entertainment Tonight, people are talking about Trash the Dress sessions. We have done quite a few of these- mostly for our destination weddings, but we have done some in New England, as well. Here are some of our favorite shots from our Trash the Dress sessions! Some of these shots were done with the actual wedding dresses, but occasionally I have brides that buy a second white dress to do their “Trash the Dress” session. Interested in doing one of these fun sessions? Let me know!

Whew!  The book is done and finally off to the publisher!  In case you have NO idea what I’m talking about, I am having a book on wedding photography that is due out from Ilex Press (out of London) in early 2008.  We’ll post more info as the book progresses through the editing stage!  In the meantime, so many of our 2006/2007 couples are featured!  Stay tuned for more details!
