Michelle Turner Photography, in the current issue of Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Magazine!
We recently got an email from Kathryn, one of December brides who had her destination wedding in Mexico, telling us that her mom was writing an article for Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Magazine, and asking if it was okay to use some of our photographs if they wanted some. Well, I am happy to say that the issue came out today, and a few of our photographs from Kathryn and Mark’s wedding have been used in the article! For all of you considering a destination wedding out there, this magazine is a great read, and the article is wonderful!

Amy and Idan were married at the Dockside in York, Maine- it started out rainy, but the sun made an appearance later in the day! What a great group- fun and high energy! And the flowers were gorgeous- Amy asked for flowers of all different colors and types, and it turned out beautifully- I’ve never seen such a colorful bunch of flowers before! Here are some of my favorites from the day, or view their slideshow here, or go to their entire gallery here (login required):

The Michelle Turner seminar - Boston style!
Over the past few days I taught a two day seminar in Boston to a group of wonderful photographers! We had a lot of fun and worked with a great couple and a great bride to create some fun, funky photographs in interesting locations! I had a great time with everyone, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s images from the shoot! Here are a few of my faves from the day:
First, the beautiful Heather put on her wedding dress and traipsed out to a farm:

A little interest from the inhabitants of the barn:

Then the beautiful Karen and Bobby put on their wedding attire again and headed out to a run-down factory in Lowell:

What a fun two days! For more info on the Michelle Turner Photography seminars, contact the studio!!! We’re headed to South Dakota next!
I photographed Jennifer and John’s destination wedding in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. What started out as a day calling for an 80% chance of rain ended up being an amazing, sunny day. This crowd was so fun- from the bridal party getting the church giggles to the mankini show late at night, I spent the whole day laughing. This was one wedding that I was sorry to see end! Anyway, here are a few of my faves, from their True Romance shoot the day before and their wedding day. I loved loved loved the orange bridesmaid dresses and flowers- it’s funny that my favorite pics from the True Romance shoot ended up having an orange theme too! You can also see their slideshow here.

I photographed Stephanie and Craig’s engagement session in Winthrop, Maine. They had their adorable dog with them, although we didn’t see much of him (we could hear him crashing around in the woods from time to time)! I’m looking forward to working with them again this October on their wedding day! Here are a few of my faves:

I was surprised that we were able to get this shot! I occurred in the five seconds that their rambunctious lab sat still!

I photographed Molly and Adam’s engagement session in Cape Elizabeth a few days ago. They are getting married later this summer in Bar Harbor. The have access to one of the coolest private beaches on the coast of Maine- it was a really fun session with a great couple!

For those of you that can’t get into the studio to see the albums, I wanted to post our current offerings on the blog!
The first is our Magazine album. The sky is the limit for cover options- beautiful colors, leathers, suedes, metals- almost anything is possible! You can even mix and match! With a clean and modern layout, the photographs are the pages (which are thick and do not bend).

The next option is the Economy Magazine album. Much like the Magazine album, the layout is clean and modern. Unlike the Magazine album, the books are not trimmed to exact specifications- you will see a small area around the edges of the page where the photograph does not reach quite to the edge of the page.

Here is a photograph of the border around the page:

Our newest addition to the album lineup- the Himalaya album! I love this album! Printed on fine art paper, each page is hand-torn. It has a handmade Nepalese cover.

Finally, our top of the line matted album. The photo cover is an option (also available on our Magazine albums), the standard covers come in a range of beautiful leathers.

Alissa and Cody were married at Las Caletas in Mexico. The party never stopped! It even continued on the boat back from Caletas! They were troopers during their True Romance shoot after the wedding- the water was cold and the beach was rocky! I was excited that Genevieve Nisly was able to come down and second shoot for me. Here are a few of my faves from the day, or you can watch the slideshow here.
How gorgeous are these flowers!?!?

The beautiful ceremony site at Caletas:

The fun bridal party:

The beautiful bride!

Andrea and Nick were married in Boston, MA, and held their reception at the beautiful Charles Hotel. It was a gorgeous day- sunny and warm- and everything went perfectly. Here are a few of our favorite shots from the day, or watch the slideshow here.

This is one of my favorite moments from their ceremony:

The room at the Charles Hotel looked absolutely beautiful. Between the gorgeous ceiling and the tall flower arrangements, the room looked just perfect:

I love the dancing that goes on at Greek Orthodox weddings! The reception was so much fun!
