Liz and Jim were married at Maple Hill Farm in Hallowell, Maine, last Saturday. They must be the luckiest two people around- the weather report called for rain and we heard from people throughout the day that it was raining all around Maple Hill Farm, but it never rained on the ceremony! Here are a few of my faves from the day, or you can view their slideshow here.
I love this rooster. Every time I have been to Maple Hill Farm to photograph a wedding, he has been sitting in that same window in the barn:

Don’t believe the story about the rain all around? Check out these clouds! It was sunny right above us, but there was thunder and lightning on all sides. I heard from a friend who lives a few miles away from Maple Hill Farm that they even lost power a few miles away!

This was a bit of an outtake, but I LOVE it:

We went back out after dinner and some dancing to capture the beautiful clouds after the storm:

In the next few weeks there will be some big changes around here! Michelle Turner Photography will have a new website and a new logo! Keep checking back to see the new look!
I photographed the wedding of Leslie and Abhijeet at Clark’s Cove Farm in Walpole, Maine. Despite a weather report calling for rain, it held off all day and was gorgeous- just perfect for a coastal Maine wedding at an orchard! Here are a few of my faves, or you can see the slideshow here.

Leslie shares a moment with her mom before the ceremony. Leslie’s mom is a fellow photographer in the great state of Maine:

What a fun, happy couple!

Like several of my couples this year, Leslie and Abhi were very smart with their allocation of time for photographs. We took a few after the ceremony itself (with harsh lighting), but we did the majority of their pics after they had finished dinner. They were served first, so there was a lot of time between when Leslie and Abhi were served and when the guest had finished their meal. We capitalized on that time and went around Clark’s Cove, using the beautiful light to our advantage.

Also, a big thanks to my friend Sharyn Peavey, who second shot for me for a few hours at Clark’s Cove! Here she is:
