Harper is 18 days old!  I photographed this beautiful little girl a few days ago- she was such a good sport and didn’t cry once!  I love photographing babies- unlike two year olds (which I love to photograph, too, but for an entirely different reason!) they can’t run away from the camera!  I can’t wait to photograph this little cutie again when she gets a little bit older.  Congrats to her mom and dad (and Porkchop the dog) on the new addition to the family!

Their sneak peak is a few posts below, so to read the story of Carolina and Mark, please scroll down a few posts.  Just want to see the images from their Maine wedding?  You can view their slideshow here or their gallery here.  Interested in some of Carolina and Mark’s beautiful details?  The wedding venue was the beautiful Retreat at French’s Point, the flowers and design were done by Judy at Flora Fauna, and the yummy cake was from Sticky Fingers

You will need to have flash on your computer in order to view their slideshow or gallery- if you are checking this post from your iPhone or an older computer, scroll down a few posts (to their original post) to see more of their images in a non-flash format.

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful destination wedding of Marisa and Scott.  They live in Orlando, but traveled to Sugar Hill, New Hampshire, with two dozen of their closest friends and family for a beautiful early fall New England wedding.  It was a fabulous day- their ceremony was held at the Rocks Estate in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, and their reception was held at the Sugar Hill Inn in Sugar Hill (right outside of Franconia).  Even though some of the Floridians froze, everyone enjoyed the wonderful outdoor ceremony.  Scott’s uncle conducted the ceremony, adding a bit of a personal touch to the day.  (I love when close friends or family members preside over the ceremony- they know the couple well, and really tailor the ceremony to the couple.)

Some of the things I loved about Marisa and Scott’s wedding: 1) Marisa and Scott could not stop looking at each other all day.  They were so easy to work with because they were so into each other and the wedding.  2) Marisa’s shoes!  I love when a bride wears a dash of color- Marisa’s red shoes were gorgeous.  3) Scott started crying when Marisa walked down the aisle and teared up a few other times during the day (Marisa did, too, but it’s so powerful when a groom is emotive.)  4) Marisa’s step-father brought his antique car and carted Marisa and Scott around in it.  It is a beautiful vehicle, and they loved riding in it and taking a few shots with it.  5) The setting- if you have never been to Franconia/Sugar Hill/Bethlehem, GO.  Northern New Hampshire in the fall is absolutely stunning.  6) The food.  Wow.  I’m a really picky eater, and I’m very difficult to impress.  And I have to say that the food at the Sugar Hill Inn is absolutely amazing.  The owners are fabulous, too- if you are looking for a vacation spot, their Inn is fantastic.   7) I never should have started counting- there are just too many wonderful things from their day to mention all of them.  So, for number seven, I’ll say “everything else”.  Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous- every aspect of it.

Here are a few of my favorite wedding photographs from the day:

Emily and Eric traveled to Maine from Arizona to hold their destination wedding in Camden.  Their ceremony was harborside in downtown Camden, and their reception was at the Whitehall Inn (also in Camden- I didn’t know this but the Whitehall Inn was the Inn where Peyton Place was filmed!).  It was a fabulous day- it threatened rain, but Emily and Eric chose to have their ceremony outside anyway.  We only had a few drops fall, and it was a beautiful ceremony!  We had a few minutes to take some photographs by the harbor- because of the threat of rain, the harbor wasn’t too crowded so we didn’t have to dodge the crowds!

Emily and Eric are both from the east- Eric is from Maine and Emily is from New York- but they met out west, where they live.  They are lovers of the outdoors- even their table cards featured photographs from and the names of some of their favorite hikes!   I loved the colors that they chose- orange and dark reds look absolutely gorgeous at this time of year!  I also really enjoyed their reception entertainment- Emily and Eric chose a fabulous bluegrass band called Phatgrass to provide the music for their reception.  I loved the fact that everyone was dancing by the end of the reception.  Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the day:
