Whether it’s a tent on your family’s farm or a tent at a beautiful venue at the coast, tented weddings are quite popular.  Not all tents are created equal, though, and so many people are unaware of the alternatives to the shiny plastic tents.  There are several options for upgrading, but one of my favorites is the upgrade to the Sperry Tent.  Not only is the tent GORGEOUS (I’ve never seen a Sperry Tent that I haven’t LOVED), but Banks and his crew can also create a custom deck for you so that you can level out the uneven ground and even have your perfectly level tent on a hill!  Here are some of my favorite Sperry tents from this season:

I am so excited to post this wedding- I’ve been bursting ever since I got home from Punta Mita a few days ago.  First, Jeni and Benjamin were so absolutely wonderful to work with, and I loved their families to pieces.  Second, the wedding was at the St. Regis in Punta Mita, Mexico- a new(ish) resort- this was the St. Regis’ second wedding ever, and it was a truly phenomenal event.  Third, Jeni and Benjamin chose to do a True Romance shoot (one of my FAVORITE things to photograph), and we had a great time!

The wedding was truly spectacular- from the incredible event design to the unbelievable cake (which MATCHED the table runners- check it out below!) to the beautiful setting underneath the stars and hundreds of lanterns.  I loved the splashed of turquoise throughout the wedding, from the tables to the necklaces that the bridesmaids wore, this was a wedding that was pulled together so well.  And it was so much FUN!  Jeni and Benjamin’s friends and families hit the dance floor and stayed there all night (well, minus some trips to the tequila bar, which served five different types of tequila).

Here are some of my favorite photographs from this beautiful destination wedding:

I’m pleased to announce that several of my photographs were used in the latest issue of Seacoast Bride Magazine.  If you haven’t seen this magazine before, pick up a copy- it is gorgeous and has fabulous tips for getting married in the northeast!  Here are just a few of my photographs that were used in this issue- they are from Julie and Adam’s Maine wedding, Lelia and Ryan’s True Romance shoot (a.k.a. the Maine Trash the Dress Shoot), Jen and Brad’s Maine wedding, and Megan and Brett’s Maine wedding:

Katherine and Paul were married a week and a half ago at the beautiful Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  We had a rain scare during their wedding week (unheard of in January in Puerto Vallarta)- as a matter of fact, I took that waterspout photograph (a few posts down) the day before their wedding- Katherine and Paul took it all in stride, though, and we ended up having beautiful weather on their wedding day!  One little touch from their wedding that I loved– they draped a fedora over the chairs of all the guys attending and a pashmina over the chairs of all of the women.  I also enjoyed the dancing– Katherine and Paul are wonderful dancers, and they had a fabulous routine for their first dance!  Here are a few of my faves from the day:
