Katherine and Paul were married a week and a half ago at the beautiful Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We had a rain scare during their wedding week (unheard of in January in Puerto Vallarta)- as a matter of fact, I took that waterspout photograph (a few posts down) the day before their wedding- Katherine and Paul took it all in stride, though, and we ended up having beautiful weather on their wedding day! One little touch from their wedding that I loved– they draped a fedora over the chairs of all the guys attending and a pashmina over the chairs of all of the women. I also enjoyed the dancing– Katherine and Paul are wonderful dancers, and they had a fabulous routine for their first dance! Here are a few of my faves from the day:

In addition to having Jenny and Justin’s wedding featured, Real Maine Weddings Magazine also used a few of my shots throughout the magazine. The two below were used as style shots. The pic on the left is from Connie and Ned’s Maine wedding- it shows the short wedding dress trend. The pic on the right is from Parlin and Vishal’s beautiful wedding- it shows the beautiful accessorizing that happens at an Indian wedding. Congrats Connie & Ned and Parlin & Vishal! I loved photographing both of your weddings, and I’m so excited that the magazine loved them as much as I did!

If you follow my blog, you know that I spoke at Mystic5 this year with the fabulous Stacey Doyle. Our talk was sponsored by my favorite vendor (ProDPI) and my favorite internet resource for photographers (ShootStyle). This was my third year speaking, and Stacey and I spoke about two different approaches to wedding photography. As usual, Mystic was an incredible event that was attended by photographers from all around the world! My fellow speakers included some of my all-time favorites: David Williams, George Weir, and Jerry Ghionis, and after meeting some of the other presenters I have added a few more to that list! If you are looking to dive into the business or if you just want to up your game, you should seriously consider attending Mystic6 next year! It was so great to see so many Maine wedding photographers there! Here are a few pics of me and Stacey Doyle during our seminar (courtesy of Earl Christie):
