Do you want to learn several different techniques for lighting receptions? Come join ShootStyle at our August workshop to find out how all six of us deal with lighting even the darkest ballrooms. The workshop will be held in Rhode Island at the Biltmore- for more information and to sign up, head on over to the “Rock Your Reception” event page at http://rockyourreception.eventbrite.com.
In the previous post, I mentioned that on Sunday I was the leader of the first-ever ShootStyle Workshop! We had such a great group of participants (22 photographers from all over the place!) and wonderful models (6 beautiful couples) who got together to work on posing couples. Anyway, I wanted to post some of the behind-the-scenes action from the day. All of these shots are courtesy of my good friend (and fellow ShootStyler) Stacey Doyle. I would like to point out that while I thought the morning of the shoot (and still think, actually) that the white sweater and purple vest that I am wearing were TOTALLY cute, I would have been better off in a down coat that went down to my ankles- it was THAT CHILLY!
(By the way, doesn’t it look like I am trying to take over the world in the upper right pic rather than teach a photography workshop? These pics crack me up- thank you for capturing all of these moments, Stacey!!)

On Sunday I was pleased to be the leader of the first-ever ShootStyle Workshop! We had such a great group of participants (22 photographers from all over the place!) and wonderful models (6 beautiful couples) who got together to work on posing couples. I’m going to post more on the workshop itself in my next post, but for now I wanted to say thank you to all of the photographers who came out to hear me speak, thank you to all of our wonderful couples who braved the cold, and thank you to all of the ShootStyle photographers, Alicia Williams and Dana Berenson (our host and the owner of the incredible Stone Crop Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine.
I was bouncing around working with participants most of the day so I didn’t get to spend too much time with the awesome couples, but I wanted to post a few of my fave shots that I was able to grab:
