A few days ago I had the pleasure of photographing Lydia- this beautiful baby girl was born to a couple whose wedding I photographed a year and a half ago. It’s always so fun to see a new family start to grow! I love the photograph of their dog, assuming the now-protective role while also delivering well-timed licks! Here are a few of my faves from the session:

Jake was born just a few weeks ago and he looks EXACTLY like his dad! Although he was awake during the majority of the shoot, he was so mellow and easy to please! Here are a few of my faves from the session:

For those of you who couldn’t make it to Mystic this year, I have posted an excerpt from my section on posing from my Mystic5 seminar with Stacey Doyle (who will be posting some excerpts of her own) on the Shootstyle blog. Head on over to the ShootStyle blog to read the excerpts from the posing article and be sure to check back often for detailed how-to articles! If you want to see my detailed/complete version with the step-by-step process outlined and sample photographs you have two options:
1) Sign up for the ShootStyle Mini-Seminar and model shoot in March 28, 2010 in southern Maine and receive the posing pdf free of charge! The Mini-Seminar is $40 and includes posing instruction followed by a model shoot. Shoot me an email (there is an email link at the bottom of the blog) for info on how to sign up for this cool experience.
2) Purchase the pdf article, which has my step-by-step process for creating environmental portraits complete with photographs. It also comes with printable or iphone-able inspiration cards that you can take on a shoot with you to jog your memory. The pdf guide and inspiration photos are $30. If you don’t want to have your inspiration cards housed on your iPhone/iPod and you don’t want to deal with printing them out yourself, you can purchase the posing pdf and the printed inspiration cards for $50 including shipping (international shipping is additional). Shoot me an email (there is an email button at the bottom of the blog) for purchasing info.
Right before the New Year I photographed the Viselli family at their home in Massachusetts. They wanted a Day in the Life type of family shoot, and since it was so cold out we were confined to the house. But we had a fabulous time! I photographed Tracey and Mike’s wedding a few years ago in Kennebunkport, and I’ve seen them at a few weddings since, but it was fun to actually spend some time with them and their growing family! Here are a few of my faves from the day:
