Julie and Kurt were married at St. Ann’s in Kennebunkport and held their reception at Pier 77 in Cape Porpoise. The weather report wasn’t great (it’s been raining in New England for weeks!), but the sun came out right before their ceremony which was GREAT considering they were having an outdoor ceremony at St. Ann’s. This was a really fun group with two of the most well-behaved ring-bearers I have ever worked with! Here are a few of my faves:

Megan and Brett were married at the beautiful Star of the Sea Catholic Church in York, Maine. Their reception was held at Megan’s parents’ home, right on the coast. The details were amazing, from the Sperry tent with the custom-built deck to the gorgeous flowers and incredible table design, courtesy of Moxie Events. This was a fabulous wedding, made even more so by two of the nicest families that I have ever worked with. The band, New York City Swing, was fantastic and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Here are a few of my faves from the day:

Check out the beer that Megan and Brett brewed for the wedding! The image on the front is a photograph that I took of them at their engagement session last month:

Alissa and Tom were married at the beautiful Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Even though we were on the cusp of the rainy season, it was a beautiful, sunny day. Even though it was a small group, they were incredibly fun and hit the dance floor early and stayed until the very end! Leila and Ryan were married on Saturday, and they came to Bar Harbor for their honeymoon! We did a True Romance shoot around Acadia and Bar Harbor- it was a fun day! Here are a few of my faves:

I just received my 2009/2010 copy of Experience Magazine in the mail today. For those of you who haven’t seen this magazine before, it is a magazine for lovers of the coastal life in the northeast. When the editors contacted me a few months ago and asked me to send them some photographs from Molly and Adam’s wedding (whose wedding I photographed last year in Bar Harbor at the Bar Harbor Regency), I was surprised since the magazine is not wedding-related. The editors told me that they wanted to use Molly and Adam’s wedding story to entice couples to take a second look at getting married in Bar Harbor/Acadia. Molly and Adam’s wedding story (and a few of my favorite photographs from their wedding) appear on pages 78 and 79 of the magazine, followed by a spread on the Bar Harbor Regency itself.

Hillary and Brian were married at a Casa Guillermo and Villa Septiembre in Conchas Chinas, Mexico. Their wedding was coordinated by Vallarta Incredible Weddings and Events, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Their ceremony was held on Conchas Chinas beach (one of my favorite beaches in the Vallarta area), and the reception was held poolside at Casa Guillermo, which is one of the most beautiful villas that I have been to in the area. I was so happy that Hillary and Brian had rented both villas because of the stark difference between the two- Villa Septiembre provided all the colors and the classic Mexican feel, while Casa Guillermo was spacious and modern. I had the opportunity to photograph another beautiful wedding at the Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Here are a few of my faves, or you can view their slideshow here or their gallery here:
We started with a True Romance shoot the day before the wedding:

Cory’s first look:

Check out these bridesmaid dresses- easily the most unique bridesmaid dresses that I have ever seen. Gorgeous!

The first dance:

Regina’s dance with her dad was amazing- beautifully choreographed. Regina changed into a gorgeous custom wedding dress for the tango:

A lot of people ended up jumping in the pool, including Cory:

But that didn’t stop Cory from rejoining Regina on the dance floor:

What is the True Romance Session? Sometimes known as a Post Shoot, sometimes a Bridal Shoot, and sometimes a trendy Trash the Dress session, we call it the True Romance shoot because the focus is on making romantic images in interesting locations. No time constraints and no limits, just a chance to create some amazing images of the two of you. Here are a few of my favorite pics from True Romance Sessions:
