There’s something special about the West- maybe it’s the easy-going attitude of the people that live there, maybe it’s the landscape and the wide open skies, or maybe it’s gorgeous mountains, but the West holds a special place in my heart.  So, I was really excited when Ashley and John asked me to fly out to Park City, Utah last week to photograph their engagement session.  I loved Park City so much that I found it difficult to leave at the end of the stay, but the best part of the trip by far was getting to know Ashley and John.  They are sweet, funny, enjoy hiking and skiing like I do, but it’s the way that they look at each other and the constant smiles that play across their faces that make them so fantastic to work with.  I had a fabulous time with them, and I can’t wait until their wedding next year!  Of course, it was great to meet their dog, too- he was a big bundle of energy that we saved until the end of the shoot, and I just wanted to pack him up and take him home with me (Great Pyrenees and Border Collie- could there be a better mix??)!  Here are a few of my favorites from their destination engagement session:
