Amber and Robby traveled from Kansas City to hold their intimate destination wedding on Pass-a-Grille beach outside of Tampa, Florida. They were joined by eight family members, and the ceremony was funny and sweet in the way that only an intimate wedding can be — I think Robby promised to watch unlimited Lifetime movies (at least, that’s what *I* heard).
I met up with Amber and Robby prior to the ceremony and I had a great time walking through the charming town to take some colorful environmental photographs of the beautiful couple. After the ceremony, we spent some time on the beach waiting for the sunset- we ended up having some lovely yellow colors over the ocean. Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the day:

We traveled down to the Florida Keys this weekend to photograph the destination wedding of Beverly and Justin. They traveled from California to have their beautiful destination wedding in Islamorada (just south of Key Largo, where Beverly grew up). They held their ceremony and reception at Pierre’s in Islamorada. What a great couple- they met in the Navy! We were worried about the weather- CNN was calling for a tornado watch and high winds throughout Florida. Fortunately we didn’t see a tornado, but we did see the high winds and a bit of rain. Beverly and Justin were troopers, though, and the outdoor wedding proceeded as planned. Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

I was pleasantly surprised this weekend to see that the bride had gorgeous green shoes- I’ve seen a lot of amazing shoes in the past year, and I was inspired to write this post about one of my favorite wedding trends: funky shoes! (So, thank you Beverly, for wearing those gorgeous green shoes- you will see more of Beverly’s wedding in just a few moments when I post some of my favorites from her day.) Whether you choose a bright color, an interesting cork sandal, funky rain boots, or even no shoes at all, you shoes (or lack thereof) can be a fun way to put a colorful, individual stamp on your wedding day. Here are a few of my faves from the past few months (from destination weddings in Maine, Puerto Vallarta, Boston, New Hampshire, and the Florida Keys) :
