I photographed the wedding of Katherine and Mike at the beautiful Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH, last weekend. If you were in New England, you know that there were huge storms throughout the northeast. When I left Maine, if was flooding, and when I got to New Hampshire it was snowing heavily. That didn’t stop Katherine and Mike, though- they needed no convincing to go outside in the blizzard, and that definitely made my day! Rain, shine, or even snow, I love to take my couples outside to capture some fun environmental portraits! Katherine and Mike had a great band (Wicked Smart Horn Band), and that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. As an added bonus, my friend and fellow photographer Andree Kehn offered to come and second shoot for me, and we had an absolute blast! (And thanks, Andree, for driving the truck!) Here are a few of my faves:

Marisa and Scott’s story is a few posts down with their sneak peak. Just want to see their New Hampshire wedding photographs? You can view their slideshow here or their gallery here. Interested in their wedding details? They held their wedding ceremony at the Rocks Estate in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, and they held their reception at the Sugar Hill Inn in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire.

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful destination wedding of Marisa and Scott. They live in Orlando, but traveled to Sugar Hill, New Hampshire, with two dozen of their closest friends and family for a beautiful early fall New England wedding. It was a fabulous day- their ceremony was held at the Rocks Estate in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, and their reception was held at the Sugar Hill Inn in Sugar Hill (right outside of Franconia). Even though some of the Floridians froze, everyone enjoyed the wonderful outdoor ceremony. Scott’s uncle conducted the ceremony, adding a bit of a personal touch to the day. (I love when close friends or family members preside over the ceremony- they know the couple well, and really tailor the ceremony to the couple.)
Some of the things I loved about Marisa and Scott’s wedding: 1) Marisa and Scott could not stop looking at each other all day. They were so easy to work with because they were so into each other and the wedding. 2) Marisa’s shoes! I love when a bride wears a dash of color- Marisa’s red shoes were gorgeous. 3) Scott started crying when Marisa walked down the aisle and teared up a few other times during the day (Marisa did, too, but it’s so powerful when a groom is emotive.) 4) Marisa’s step-father brought his antique car and carted Marisa and Scott around in it. It is a beautiful vehicle, and they loved riding in it and taking a few shots with it. 5) The setting- if you have never been to Franconia/Sugar Hill/Bethlehem, GO. Northern New Hampshire in the fall is absolutely stunning. 6) The food. Wow. I’m a really picky eater, and I’m very difficult to impress. And I have to say that the food at the Sugar Hill Inn is absolutely amazing. The owners are fabulous, too- if you are looking for a vacation spot, their Inn is fantastic. 7) I never should have started counting- there are just too many wonderful things from their day to mention all of them. So, for number seven, I’ll say “everything else”. Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous- every aspect of it.
Here are a few of my favorite wedding photographs from the day:
