Sam and Ian traveled from DC to hold their beautiful destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  I was so impressed with all of the personal touches that Sam had lined up for her wedding, all centering around the color purple.  From the table decorations to the gorgeous cake topper, Sam and Ian traveled down to Mexico with a ton of details!  And of course, Sam’s “best man” (instead of having a maid of honor, Sam had a best man) came through in a big way by carrying the cupcake stand down from Chicago!

Of course, I may be biased, but I loved the fact that Sam chose purple for their wedding!  She even wore purple shoes (did I mention how much I like it when brides wear colored shoes???) and had purple fireworks!  Okay, I don’t know if the fireworks were intentional, but they were definitely purplish-blue!    Of course, I want to give a shout out to Ian, too- Ian’s suit may be one of my favorites EVER.  A white suit with a purple shirt and pink tie?  He looked super-sharp, and I LOVED it.  And of course, Lindsay at the Playa Fiesta did an awesome job tying everything together in such a beautiful way.

Jennie and Reggie traveled from San Francisco to hold their destination wedding at the beautiful Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.   I loved hearing all of the speeches from their guests who made the trip to be a part of Jennie and Reggie’s special day- even Jennie’s grandmother gave a beautiful speech!  It was an absolutely stunning day- sunny and not too hot, with a gentle breeze blowing off of the ocean.  And of course, dinner was preceded by a gorgeous sunset!  I loved the orange accents that Jennie and Reggie chose, and the calla lilly centerpieces were elegant and proved to be one of my favorite centerpieces!  The group hit the dance floor early- one of my favorite moments of open dancing occurred when Jennie’s brother dedicated a song to her that she had loved as a child and Jennie and Reggie proceeded to dance with all of Jennie’s family!  Here are a few of my faves from the day:
