Vanessa and Dave flew in from chilly Chicago with their closest family and friends to get married at the gorgeous Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  They brought a lot of fun details with them- I just loved neutral burlap accented with the pinks and oranges.  Their details had a lot of personal touches, too- Vanessa used to collect stamps as a child, so their invitations were full of different, colorful stamps.  Vanessa’s gorgeous Vera Wang dress had a sash that matched the neutral palette of the invitations, adding a subtle color that contrasted nicely with the bright flowers.

Vanessa and Dave have known each other since the eighth grade, but they didn’t start dating for a few years.  Their group had the comfortable air of a group of people that have known each other for a long time- they had a wonderful time!   One of the highlights of the night occurred when Dave’s uncle surprised them with fireworks!  Dave and Vanessa also had me set up the photo booth (one of my favorite parts of the night), and the photographs of the different people together (plus Vanessa and Dave’s fun photo booth props) are a riot!

We also went to downtown Vallarta two days after their wedding for a post shoot- it gave us a great opportunity to capture them with some of the bright Vallarta colors in the background.  We ended on a sandy beach, with the sun setting brilliantly in the background.  Here are a few of my favorite images from those two days:

Christy and Jay  were married at the beautiful Playa Fiesta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Christy’s favorite flowers are tulips, so she chose a bright bouquet made up of all tulips.  It was simple, elegant, and colorful, and it off-set the bright yellow bridesmaid dresses beautifully!  The details were also gorgeous- Heather Gentles, one of Christy’s bridesmaids, is a graphic designer (HoneyScope Design) and she created all of the beautiful details all over the wedding!  This gorgeous couple couldn’t stop smiling at each other all day- it puts a smile on MY face just thinking about it!  Here are a few of my favorites from the wedding day:
