Karen and Rene planned their Puerto Vallarta wedding from Chicago- and it was absolutely stunning! Not only was it at Caletas (which has one of my favorite beaches for sandy weddings), but it was colorful and fabulously designed by Kelley and her team at Vallarta Adventures! The guests were also on the dance floor all night (they even danced around the bonfire)! Oh, and did I mention the fire jugglers?!?! All in all, it was an absolutely perfect day. Plus, I had the opportunity to get together with Rene and Karen the next day to traipse around Marina Vallarta and Old Town for some fun and colorful post-wedding photographs. We had a wonderful time! Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Let me start of by saying that I absolutely adore the color yellow! So when I chatted with Orly about her wedding colors, I was over the moon to hear that she had picked such a sunny, vibrant color! Of course, her details on the day did not disappoint- her shoes, flowers, and even the accent labels on the Jose Cuervo favors picked up some of this gorgeous hue. Even the sunset cooperated!
Orly and John’s wedding was gorgeous from start to finish. From the quiet moments before the ceremony with Orly and her three sisters (and mom!) to the fun of the hora and everything in between, the day was just perfect! Here are a few of my favorites:

I have to admit it- I’m a sucker for a good love story, and sometimes the simplest stories can also be the sweetest. Kate and Nick are high school sweethearts. In my nine years as a wedding photographer, I’ve only photographed a handful of high school sweethearts, but each and every time I am struck by the love– not just between the couple (after all, ALL of my couples are in love!), but between the families as well. The marriage of high school sweethearts is the official blending of two different families that have thought of themselves as family already for years. There are no awkward moments that always happen when two groups that know nothing about one another get together; rather, there is simply an outpouring of love and commitment and a reiteration that while things are finally “official”, they couple has been such a huge part of each other’s lives through the entirety of their adult lives.
Kate and Nick were married at the beautiful Playa Fiesta Hotel- here are a few of my faves from the day:
