Sarah and Brandon were married on the Fourth of July, Sarah’s favorite holiday (and one of mine, as well)!  I loved hanging out with this awesome couple, who met during their Semester at Sea.  They are so fun and laid-back, and we had a great time taking pics down by the beach and all over the beautiful property.  And of course, their friends and families were so wonderful to work with as well!

I really loved all of the great details- Sarah and Brandon were married at the Retreat at French’s Point (one of my favorite venues), their flowers and design was done by Judy at Flora Fauna (one of my favorite designers), and their cake was created by Sticky Fingers (their cakes are soooo fabulous)!  And of course, to top it all off (since it WAS the Fourth of July, after all!!) Sarah and Brandon had both fireworks AND sparklers!  It was such a wonderful evening, and I had such a great time with this group!  Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the day:

Fourth of July Wedding in Maine

I was so pleased to find out that Jenny and Justin’s wedding was featured in Real Maine Weddings Magazine.  I photographed Jenny and Justin’s beautiful destination wedding at the Retreat at French’s Point in Stockton Springs, Maine, and not only did we have beautiful weather, but we had a wonderful time!  Jenny and Justin had such a fun group that attended the wedding and the dancing continued late into the night!  Here are some pics from the magazine spread:

Jen and Brad had the most amazing destination wedding in Maine at the Retreat at French’s Point.  Like so many other days this summer, the morning started out overcast and it gradually started to mist.  I wasn’t too worried, because after photographing Jen and Brad’s True Romance shoot on Wednesday (read one post down to see the pics from our day in Acadia) I knew that they would roll with the punches.  It was still misting right before the ceremony started, but Jen and Brad decided to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony anyway.  I have to admit that I was totally excited by the prospect of having the ceremony outside- I love ceremonies with interesting weather.  I think that it makes for fabulous pics!  The ceremony started, and as Jen walked down the aisle it started to pour- she and her dad started laughing, and the ceremony proceeded.  Everyone had umbrellas, and the guests were such good sports- everyone was smiling and laughing- this is certainly a wedding that they will never forget!  After the ceremony, we headed to the beach in the rain- Jen and Brad were up for anything, which I love in a wedding couple!  And of course, the reception was absolutely gorgeous- the Retreat at French’s Point is one of my favorite venues in Maine!   Congratulations, guys!  I had a blast!  Here are a few of my faves from the day, or you can view their slideshow here or their gallery here:
