First and foremost, I am a wedding photographer.  I shoot weddings because I love them- I love the emotions, the details, the colors, the dancing, and the party, but most of all I love creating images of my couples that will remind them of one of the happiest, most exciting days of their lives together.

I am primarily a documentary wedding photographer.  I prefer to capture events as they happen — real moments — rather than staging them.  I will photograph your wedding as the day unfolds, from the little details that you have worked so hard to put together to the excitement of the reception and everything in between.

When it comes to photographs of the bride and groom together, I prefer to prompt my couples rather than pose them.  I want to capture your expressions as you interact with one another, whether it’s during a walk on the beach or a quiet cuddle away from the rest of the guests.  I am also an environmental portrait photographer- I want to include the funky orange wall behind your hotel or the dunes on the beach or whatever makes your location special so that your photographs have a sense of place.

But most of all, I want to capture the fun moments- your crazy cousin Ed doing the hula at your reception, your best friend from college serenading you on the dance floor, your new mother-in-law giving you a spontaneous hug- those are the moments that make my job the coolest job in the world.
