Erin and Jason are my type of clients! I walked in and met Erin on Saturday afternoon, and the first thing that I learned about her was that she was the female keg-stand champion the night before! I have to say that she looked remarkably well for a bride that had earned that distinction the night before her wedding, and I knew that anyone that could pull that off would have a fun wedding to boot. Of course, Erin had already warned me that Jason’s frat brothers from MIT were a crazy bunch, so I was excited to shoot this wedding!
Erin and Jason live in California now (although Jason is from New Hampshire), and the made the journey to Maine for their destination wedding in Northeast Harbor at the Asticou. The weather called for heavy rain, but I’m pleased to say that the sun came out during the ceremony and they had a beautiful blue sky! The gorgeous flowers were designed by Jeannie Russell at Verona Island Flowers- I loved the green and orange! Orange is Erin’s favorite color, and it looked fabulous with the green accents.
I loved the story of how Erin and Jason met- they met at a New Years Eve party. Even though there was an open bar, Jason walked right up to Erin and offered to buy her a drink. And the two have been dating for the last six (or was it seven?) years. They live in the San Francisco bay area- one of my absolute favorite places in the country! When we took their bride and groom photos, we headed over to the Asticou gardens, and then during dinner we walked down to the waterfront for a few more photos. Here are a few of my faves from the day:
